Wizards complete trade to acquire Ariza

WASHINGTON (AP) The Wizards have completed a trade to acquire forward Trevor Ariza from the Phoenix Suns for forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and guard Austin Rivers.

Washington general manager Ernie Grunfeld announced the deal Monday after it was agreed to in principle over the weekend. Grunfeld called Ariza "one of the most effective, efficient and versatile players at his position for over a decade."

Ariza, 33, returns to Washington, where he played the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The 6-foot-8, 215-pound swingman is averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 26 games with the Suns this season, the last remaining on his contract.

Pacers down Knicks, extend streak to 7

Oladipo had his best outing since returning from a nagging right knee injury that kept him out of the lineup for 11 games, scoring 26 points Sunday as the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks 110-99 for their seventh straight victory.


Simmons has 22-11-14 as 76ers rip Cavs

CLEVELAND (AP) Jimmy Butler's return brought out the best in his Philadelphia teammates.

Ben Simmons had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists for his third triple-double of the season, Joel Embiid scored 24 points and the 76ers routed the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-105 on Sunday.


Wade helps Heat win New Orleans finale

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Dwyane Wade fondly remembers his dominant first game in New Orleans as an emerging college star with Marquette. He won't forget what was likely his final performance as a pro in the Big Easy, either.

Wade walked off the court to chants of "D-Wade! D-Wade!" from fans converging on the tunnel to the visitors' locker room after his 19 points - highlighted by tough shots over Anthony Davis at the end of each half - helped the Miami Heat beat the Pelicans 102-96 on Sunday night.

Harden has 2nd straight triple-double

Harden had 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, and the Rockets weathered a fourth-quarter burst to beat the Grizzlies 105-97 on Saturday night.
